The senior leadership team of BPI Packaging has deep experience in the chemicals industry and in operations that combines to ensure high quality products and service to all our customers.
Joel Wood serves as CEO and is responsible for all strategic, operational, and financial decisions for the company. Mr. Wood joined BPI as Chief Financial Officer in September of 2017. Prior to BPI, he was CFO of RemitDATA, Inc., a software-as-a-service company focused on healthcare analytics. RemitDATA was a VC-backed company that raised over $15 million in venture debt and equity capital that was sold to eSolutions, Inc. in August 2017.
Mr. Wood began his career as a corporate banker with Wachovia Bank (now Wells Fargo) focused on lending to Fortune 500 clients. Later, he embarked on an investment banking career with Morgan Keegan & Company, Inc. (now Raymond James) as a generalist focused on helping companies gain access to capital in the public markets. Mr. Wood also worked with Stephens Inc., last serving as a Vice President in the technology and logistics groups. He was also a Vice President in the healthcare group of Dain Rauscher Wessels (now RBC Capital Markets). Mr. Wood left investment banking to become a general partner in Delta Capital Management, a venture capital firm with $60 million under management focused on early-stage investments in the southeastern U.S. He sourced and managed several investments in the technology and healthcare industries.
Mr. Wood received a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering with High Honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology and received an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
Bobby Dunn is a founder of BPI Packaging, LLC and currently serves as its Chief Engineer. Mr. Dunn co- founded BobPack, Inc., the predecessor company and is recognized as an industry leader in the field of chemical blending and contract packaging. Mr. Dunn has deep relationships with chemical and packaging vendors, which has contributed to the rapid success of BPI as a go-to partner in contract packaging. Mr. Dunn managed the company through significant growth, bringing on two separate equity partners, most recently RBM Ventures, the family office of R. Brad Martin.
Mr. Dunn began his career as an engineer working with Conestoga Wood Specialties in the woodworking industry. Later, he worked as a Marine Terminal Manager, Region Administration Manager and a Branch Manager for the Chemicals Division of Unocal Corporation. Mr. Dunn moved to Memphis to work for W.M. Barr Corporation, principally in Sales and Business Development before co-founding BPI in 2000.
Mr. Dunn received a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
John Dillon serves as Senior Vice President of Business Development, responsible for all business development and marketing activities. Mr. Dillon joined BPI in 2015, with over 40 years of business development, brand marketing, product development, and operations experience.
Mr. Dillon started his career with the Standard Oil Company of Ohio, where he held several sales and marketing positions. During his tenure with Standard Oil, he was also transferred to the Alyeska Pipeline Service Company as a Loaned Executive, providing management oversight during the construction of the Trans-Alaskan pipeline. Mr. Dillon also had similar positions with Southland Corporation, followed by leading the market evaluation and marketing of TransFirst. Mr. Dillon joined Ashland Inc.’s Valvoline subsidiary where he was Vice President of Valvoline International with marketing responsibility for Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Most recently, Mr. Dillon held marketing, operations, and international development positions at 3M’s Meguiar’s subsidiary with particular focus on developing markets in Latin America and Asia/Pacific.
Mr. Dillon received a bachelor’s degree in Managerial Economics from Marietta College.
Keith Jaworski serves as Director of Procurement, joining the company as its first employee in 2000. Prior to the forming of BPI, Mr. Jaworski spent ten years at W.M. Barr Corporation in a variety of roles, principally in Quality Control, R&D, and Sales & Marketing. The varied experience gained at W.M. Barr was instrumental and contributed to BPI’s early growth from one manufacturing line and one customer to where it is today. Mr. Jaworski has had responsibilities in several areas of BPI including Quality, Inventory Control, and Account Management as well as being a key member of teams responsible for two ERP implementations.
Logan Hale serves as Controller and is responsible for all finance and accounting functions. Mr. Hale joined BPI in July of 2018. Prior to BPI, Mr. Hale was Vice President and Corporate Controller of Fred’s, Inc., a dollar store retailer in the southeastern United States. In his five years at Fred’s, Mr. Hale served as Assistant Controller, Director of Supply Chain & Analysis, and Director of Store Operations & Analysis. Mr. Hale began his career in accounting at CBRE Group, Inc., serving as Real Estate Accountant in the Memphis office for over three years.
Mr. Hale received Bachelor of Accountancy and Master of Accountancy degrees from the University of Mississippi and is an active CPA.
Greg Parker serves as Vice President of Technical Services responsible for the technical and quality aspects of manufacturing. Mr. Parker joined BPI in November of 2013 as Director of Operations and became Vice President of Operations in 2015. In November of 2015, Mr. Parker was instrumental in assisting BPI with the purchase and start-up of BPI’s Olive Branch plant, focused on the manufacturing of body fillers and coatings.
Mr. Parker began his career in chemical packaging as a lab technician at the W. M. Barr Corporation, filling various roles in Quality, Engineering, Operations, and Sales for 26 years. Later, Mr. Parker served as Manufacturing Manager at Mozel, a coatings packaging company owned by EMCO Chemical Distributors.
Mr. Parker received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry degree with High Honors from Memphis State University (now the University of Memphis).
Keith Parker serves as Director of Human Resources, joining BPI in July 2018. Prior to BPI, Mr. Parker was Senior Human Resources Manager with Radial, Inc. and PFS Web supporting their third-party logistics operations. Mr. Parker also was Human Resources Manager for Rockwool International (formerly Roxul) and was instrumental in the start-up of the first greenfield manufacturing plant in the U.S. Mr. Parker is a member of the Society of Human Resources Managers and has over 20 years of experience in human resources in the manufacturing and distribution industries.
Mr. Parker received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Memphis, graduating magna cum laude.
Brad Ward serves as Vice President and Chief Operator and is responsible for Operations at all BPI manufacturing facilities. Mr. Ward joined BPI as a Project Manager in November 2016, later serving as Director of Operations and then General Manager with full P&L responsibility at the Memphis facility.
Mr. Ward has more than 25 years of experience in the field of blending, filling, and contract packaging of consumer products for a variety of end markets. Mr. Ward began his career at W.M. Barr Corporation, which spanned several roles over 23 years. Mr. Ward gained extensive direct experience in batching, line operations, and line management, last serving as Senior Director of Operations, responsible for all manufacturing operations across multiple manufacturing sites.
